Snapped Ankles

The Factory

East London's finest woodfolk Snapped Ankles were formed in 2011 out of one of the capital’s warehouse communities. A ramshackle post-punk unit whose onstage get-up suggests feral tree-men, with costumes of foliage, synths made from logs and songs inspired by directors' cuts of Soviet and Italian films, they are simultaneously running almost tribal synth-drum circles with their log-oscillators and drawing influence from Old Norse texts.
