Meet the Calderdale Fantasy Orchestra — a 50-strong (and counting) symphonic brigade of pros, amateurs and unapologetic music nerds on a shared mission: maximum sonic colour. They leap from widescreen themes by Ennio Morricone, John Barry and R. D. Burman to rock royalty like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, David Bowie and Radiohead, with psychedelic curveballs and rousing obscurities thrown in for good measure. Kaleidoscopic? Absolutely. Predictable? Never.
